History of VAHA

Vintage Arabian Horse Association (VAHA) was established in the early 1970's by a few Arabian horse owners in Napa, California.  The goal was to promote the Arabian breed, which remains the goal held today.  Monthly meetings were held in members' homes and barns, and the club participated in local fairs, parades, and sponsored horse shows.

Over the years VAHA has expanded its membership to anyone interested in joining. Most of our current members live in Solano, Yolo and Colusa counties, located in Northern California.  We continue to participate in local events and generally sponsor two horse shows each year.  The membership is very diversified and participates in many disciplines from Dressage, showing, ranch riding, Endurance and trail riding, as well as breeding for that special Arabian horse.

VAHA has monthly board and general membership meetings which are open to anyone.  The club has held summer picnics, holiday parties, and during the summer months many members gather for local trail rides.  Stay updated on the club's news, events and other activities here, and on our Facebook page
